The lighting in the picture seems high-key but because of the dark brown colour it’s like a confused setting but you can tell that the light is coming from the above because there is a shadow underneath her chin and her raised arm.

The dress Beyoncé is wearing is quite dark but shows off a lot of cleavage which would obviously attract the opposite sex and also attract other women to buy this magazine and find out how to look as good as her also because she is very attractive this also attracts her audience. She is wearing hoops and a ring her nails are all done up and her eye brows are shaped also she has a lot of make-up her hair done up to attract the opposite sex so this is a sex appeal and because she looks ‘ Sexy’ people will want to pick it up see what the magazine about.
NVC
Her NVC is quite clear she looks very serious and if you look at the magazine and what it’s saying around her it says ‘The green issue’ so lots of people are taking this issue very seriously and saying that we have to be a greener world. So this would explain her NVC. Also her body position it seems quite aggressive but calm because her hands are both fists but one is raised and pointing in front of her which seems like she is threatening as the magazine is about ‘Being Greener’
Setting
The setting is very bland and there isn’t anything happening around her the camera shot I would say is just about a mid-shot to a long mid shot because it doesn’t stop right at her waist it goes down alittle bit further probably more of a mid-shot though. I think the reason why the magazine wanted not much going on in the magazine is because they wanted us to focus on Beyoncé and that it that enough because she is pretty and easily catches our attention and so the background more or less blends in with the surroundings of Beyoncé the browny colour connotes dreamy and her surroundings seemed close like she is a small space.
